Tiffany Amber SS12 Show LFW

Just been to see the Tiffany Amber Fashion Show SS12 at Charing Cross Hotel during London Fashion Week. Tiffany Amber is a designer who understands feminine glamour, subtle elegance and isn’t afraid of colour.

Siren of the Nile – celebrates the true essence and self-discovery of the elegant and sophisticated woman.

Tiffany Amber‘s SS12 Collection is a conversation with Eastern and Western influences, drawing upon the rich geometry of traditional African craft and combining these elements with bold Western shapes. The composition of modern techniques to traditionally intricate styles seamlessly bridge Eastern and Western designs from Tiffany Amber’s unique perspective.

Absolutely in LOVE with the bright coloured chain necklaces and the Lawrence of Arabia inspired flowing dresses! Whisk me any into the desert night!

The Langham Hotel

Before all the hype of London Fashion Week started I spent the afternoon at The Langham Hotel planning my LFW schedule with one of our new writers, Lauren Donnelly.

I had forgotten how much I adore this hotel. Not only is beautifully decorated but it’s comfortable. I know this sounds like a strange thing to say but so many city hotels are sterile, hard and rather cold.

The moment you walk through the revolving doors of The Langham you feel relaxed and looked after. The serve is impeccable, and Afternoon Tea delicious and the flowers throughout simply divine. Not sure where they come from but they are stunning. The hotel makes a big point about looking after their guests, which leads me on to their spa.

The hotel boasts Europe’s first Chuan Spa. (I know, I thought the same, ‘Chuan Spa? What’s that?’)

With its roots stretching back thousands of years, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) believes the human body comprises two opposing yet mutually dependant halves – Ying and Yang.

TCM strives to create an optimal balance of the five elements, fire, water, earth, metal and wood, that empower physical and mental forces. Expert therapists will adopt these guiding principles leaving guests looking and feeling more restful and relaxed.

Emphasising a holistic approach to a spa retreat, TCM strives to create an optimal balance of the Five Wu Xing elements: fire, water, earth, metal and wood, that empower these physical and mental forces. Today, TCM’s unique ability to harmonise the body and soul, and enrich our capacity for personal happiness and fulfillment, is continuing to enhance the lives of millions of people Worldwide.

Melie Bianco

I am absolutely in love. Melie Bianco bags are a total must-have. I want the whole AW11 collection. And to make it even better they are totally affordable and vegan!
Affordable Luxury. That’s the simple philosophy behind the Melie Bianco line.

Founded in 2003 by Melissa and William, a husband and wife team, this wildly successful family-owned accessories company has always kept one thing in mind: bringing runway-inspired handbags to the everyday woman.

“I design bags to reflect the season’s trends, but within a budget of women like my sisters,” says Melissa who lives in Los Angeles, where her Melie Bianco line is headquartered. “Women—especially working women—want high-end handbags but at an affordable price.”
When she was a student at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, Melissa became a master at pulling together chic ensembles on a shoestring budget. One thing she learned: a great accessory could carry nearly any outfit. It was the “A-ha!” moment that would later become her company’s mantra.
The small label began by garnering fans at local boutiques in LA. Word-of-mouth (and purse) grew to find devotees going crazy over stylish designs, top-notch construction and (the best part) prices that were a fraction of other handbags on the market. For handbag lovers shying away from animal-based products, Melie Bianco’s high-quality faux-leather materials were the perfect answer.

Today, Melie Bianco commands a large share of the market for vegan, budget-friendly fashion handbags. Melie Bianco’s designs have been spotted in major fashion magazines like Vogue,  Marie Claire, Glamour, Lucky, Instyle, Oprah, Cosmo Girl, Seventeen, Self, People, and Life & Style among others.
