Martha Freud Designs

If you go down to the woods tonight you’re sure of a……magical surprise!

At the Camley Street Natural Park in King’s Cross last night (21st September 2011) designer Martha Freud showcased her new collection, Mixed Messages.

Hidden in the trees and among the undergrowth her emotional and thought-provoking lighting and furniture designs could be found around the park.

It was an enchanting evening, wandering around the park by candle light and sipping Veuve Clicquot Champagne by the bonfire. Magical.

Ally Hilfiger NAHM

Fashion Party at The Shop at Bluebird on the Kings Road to celebrate the launch of NAHM debut range exclusively at The Shop at Bluebird.

On the eve of London Fashion Week one should be relaxing at home with a face mask on, wrapped in a robe and preparing themselves for the manic 5 days ahead. Instead, I was at the launch party for Ally Hilfiger, daughter of Tommy Hilfiger, new clothing line.

I went along to the launch with my gorgeous beauty writer girlfriend, Tali Shine (www.talishine.com). We spend most of it standing in the corner chatting because the room where the collection stood was so small and crowded you could barely see anything. So, we caught up on each others news and enjoyed a few of the cocktails made from Product (RED) Special Edition Belvedere Vodka.

Finally, we managed to sneak into see the new collection and it was far from what I was expecting Ally Hilfiger to produce. The collection has a maturity and simple sophistication that I would not have expected from a designer like Ally. The tailoring is very masculine yet the fabrics feminine and soft.

How ethical or sustainable the collection, no idea. I was unable to get any information from the PR contact. Watch this space for more information on that.

But the vodka was a Product (RED) item, so that made me happy.
